Hair Salon in Ginza for Visitors: Booking in English, Menu and Prices

By Kazunari Nakamura, hair stylist for 15 years, owner of LUJU Ginza
Updated October 3, 2026

You can book a hair salon in Ginza without speaking Japanese. At LUJU, you send your preferred date and time in English, and we confirm by email.

This page explains how booking works, how we talk with you in the salon, and what is on the menu.

Quick answers

  • Book with LINE, or with our English booking form if you do not use LINE.
  • We mainly speak Japanese and use a translation app. A photo of the style you want helps most.
  • LUJU is a one-on-one salon with semi-private seats, 2 minutes on foot from Ginza Station.

How to book without Japanese

Many salons in Japan take bookings through Japanese apps. Visitors often get stuck here. At LUJU there are two ways to book.

  1. LINE. If you use LINE, tap the green button on our English page. You can see open times and book 24 hours a day.
  2. The English booking form. If you do not use LINE, send your first and second choice of date and time. We reply by email within 24 hours, Japan time. Your booking is confirmed when you receive our reply.

We are open from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm and closed on Tuesdays. The salon is by appointment only, so please book before you come.

Before and after the treatment, we talk about what you want and how to care for your hair at home.

How we talk with you in the salon

We mainly speak Japanese. We use a translation app on a phone, so you can type or speak in your own language.

These three things make it easy:

  • A photo of the style or color you want.
  • A photo of your hair when you liked it most.
  • Anything we should know: allergies, a sensitive scalp, or treatments you had before.

You can write these in the message box of the booking form, too.

Gray hair color that stays off your scalp

For gray coverage we use a method called ZERO-TECH. The color is applied about 0.1 mm away from the scalp, right to the roots, and the brush does not touch the scalp. It suits people whose scalp stings with hair dye.

If you have ever had an allergic reaction to hair dye, such as itching, redness or swelling after coloring, we do not color your hair, even with this method. Please see a dermatologist first.
